Yummy yummy

So this morning, I decided to make homemade french toast on homemade bread with homemade caramel syrup.  It was pretty good, but man the pieces were so thick that I got full after one slice. 

I am getting so excited for my birthday...we spent like an hour in the grocery store (and i even had a list) of everything we needed to buy....YEAH!

So when I was over at my mom's house, Haley was dressing Lola up in her build a bear clothes.  Today, I found my build a bear so we decided to dress up Lola.  It was so much fun.

I am so glad when DADDY comes home...

Every day, Rockie and Lola get so excited to see dj when he gets home from his classes.  Once Rockie hears the lock horn on DJ's car, he immediately stops whatever he is doing and runs to the window where he is tall enough to look out on the ledge.  Today I decided to take pictures of when he gets home.

While dj was at school, i decided to go crazy and try a new recipe.  It was chicken and cheesy potatoes...and it was pretty good!

redecorating

So of course I was to redecorate before my birthday party but all the new furniture won't be here.  I have been putting lots of money aside every month so that we could make a huge down payment on a house, but we are deciding to wait to buy a house till the parade of homes.  I love looking at the new homes and then we can design it how we want.  We don't know how long we will be in Logan but at least a newer home will be easier to sell.  So, we decided to take some of the money and start buying new furniture.  I want to decorate my living room very different...with new colors and theme and tons of crafty projects (i don't know when i will have time, but hopefully i can find time).  So I am kinda sad that i wont have everything done for the party, but hopefully soon!

Rockie is not eating her face, they were trying to share a bone.  lol...trying is the main word! even though we have like ten bones laying around, they always fight over the same one...i guess i used to do that with my sister...lol

Tomorrow I am going to my uncle's funeral.  Its weird because I can only remember going to two funerals my whole life...and he was very special to me.

Except we didn't take our dogs on a swim...we took them on a walk! Its so weird taking two dogs on a walk. Rockie could walk a hundred miles and Lola gets tired and has to be carried half way through.  On our walk tonight, when DJ was carrying Lola, this man asked Dj if he was carry a baby.  I was thinking that must be one hairy baby! 

While posting this dj just farted and i am pretty sure it killed some brain cells, so if the rest of my blog doesnt make sense, blame him!

So...it may not be exactly what it means...

Last night Dj and I felt so much like parents! Lola kept throwing up and pooping all night.  Within 15 minutes she pooped twice and threw up 8 times! Our poor little girl looked miserable.  Dj and I didn't go to bed till 330 to 4...my mom says its karma because I never went to bed when they wanted me.  Hopefully kids will be easier.  Melanie says that at least kids wear diapers.

I was so busy at the salon today! It was so much fun.  I love working at a salon finally.  I never wake up dreading to go to work...which I can't say about my other jobs.

Ever since we got our puppy LOLA, we have named our dogs the troops...because some times it feels like we are leading the army just to take the dogs on a walk.  However, i truly love my troops and my alpha male (dj)! Last night we were playing around taking pictures...
